The Chelyan Circle of Care Center

We are composed of professionals through our partnerships with Licensed Behavioral Health Agencies and local community-based Physicians who are dedicated to addressing a variety of needs. Through these partnerships we provide a continuum of care which consists of Primary Care, Medical Assisted Treatment, (MAT), Mental Health Counseling, and Alcohol and Substance Use Disorder therapy. By collaborating with each person to help them work through challenges, we encourage success through various insight-oriented techniques and behavioral change interventions. These techniques enable us to empower people to find their inner strength to meet the challenges they face on a daily basis. If you face serious challenges, or have day to day struggles, we can help you find the solution that works best for you. The Cheylan Circle of Care Center believes in working collectively with medical and mental health professionals to ensure the need for services are met. We work with all referral sources, ensuring that all professionals are on the same page when it comes to the client. These professionals include but are not limited to: judicial personnel, social workers and other treatment facilities

Research Based Practice

Current statistics indicates that long-term residential/transitional housing combined with treament provides individuals a greater chance of achieving long-term recovery, which has proven to provide the following:

• Decreased substance use

• Reduced probability of relapse/re-occurrence

• Lower rates of incarceration

• Higher income

• Increased employment

• Improved family functioning

We utilize the evidence-based programs of Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT), peer-to-peer support and self-help models such as NA and AA

Our Facility

At the Chelyan Circle of Care Center we provide three nutritionally balanced meals daily. Nutrition is essential to provide complete wellness to individuals in recovery.

Our clients have access to personal living room areas equipped with couches, televisions, microwaves and refrigerators. Additionally they have WI-FI, and access to a computer lab, for job searches, resumes, schoolwork or other activities related to their recovery.

Studies show that leisure time is vital to a healthy recovery. We afford our clients a fully stocked recreation room including a pool table, ping-pong table and foosball. We also have a complete physical health facility with multiple exercise machines and an outdoor recreation area.

We believe recovery should be available and affordable. We offer no program fees for those who do not work, or are enrolled in school, and low program fees for those who begin work after 90 days. The physicians and mental health professionals we collaborate with accept WV Medicaid to help our clients begin their journey of success.

Additional Services

The Chelyan Circle of Care Center works with the Kanawha County DHHR to provide state wide resources. Additionally, Workforce WV, Jobs & Hope, Creating Opportunities for Recovery Employment (C.O.R.E.) and Goodwill provides job training opportunities and career building skills. These trainings ensure sustainability in the workplace for continued employment.

The Center also has a Chapel where clients are free to worship multiple times a week. Spirituality has proven to be instrumental in recovery. Services are not mandatory.
